We want to use digital processes to create transparency and thus greater efficiency in processes
Digitalization and networking are commonplace in many areas of life. For many, life without the internet and smartphones is no longer conceivable.
Digitalization affects all areas of business: products and services as well as work, production and communication processes. The buzzword "digitalization" is nothing new. We encounter it every day.
And this raises the central question for us:
Has the digital transformation really arrived in all areas, especially in the construction industry?
Digitalization means not only generating digital data, but also using it in all processes relating to the creation and life cycle of a product and making it permanently usable. The key here is to enable data to be exchanged between systems quickly and easily via interfaces and cloud solutions. And this is precisely what BISS.ID has made its goal as a central platform for data transfer:
The integration of digital processes relating to the product creation and life cycle of components.
Milestones in our story
The digital product passport - GLAS.ID
With the further development of the identification option for construction products in insulating glass, BISS.ID offers manufacturers of construction elements additional options for generating the digital product passport adopted at European level in the Green Deal.

The platform is growing
With the extension and expansion of the platform to cover the entire production and delivery process, BISS.ID is becoming increasingly important on the market. The modern tracking solutions have won customers in the construction sector as well as in other industrial sectors.

Ready for growth
In 2021, Jürgen Huber, a sales expert with experience in the industry, joined the team and redesigned the BISS.ID project. The basic idea of an NFC chip for components became the conception of a comprehensive platform for all kinds of processes relating to the creation and use of components.
This resulted in the participation in the company and the assumption of the position of managing director by Jürgen Huberwho has been in charge of further developing BISS.ID and expanding it ever since.

The creation of a start-up
This innovation won the Digital Champions Award Midwest in the "Digital Products and Services" category in May 2019.
However, as there is a lack of standards and platform solutions in the construction element industry in particular, the window manufacturer was aware that this was not the only solution for IDEAL Weinstock Instead, it had to become a completely independent platform with the aim of creating standards and interfaces so that data could be exchanged independently of the product.
Founded as a start-up in the field of digitalization in the construction industry in 2020, the company history of BISS.ID GmbH.

The origin
The origins of the company lie with the window manufacturer IDEAL Weinstock Fensterbau GmbH. IDEAL developed an NFC chip for the window with the aim of supporting the construction industry in its gradual digitalization and thus speeding up processes within the company.
The primary aim was to process service cases digitally and efficiently without having to search for data in a time-consuming and cumbersome manner. Since 2018, every manufactured element has been fitted with an NFC chip that can be read at any time afterwards for further information and services relating to the component.
